Snow condition
Generally still too little snow for off-piste activities; hardly any base, rocks everywhere. The Lamarkalm/Spitzlahn/Metzen area was nevertheless groomed by a large number of tourers.
Snow quality
Beautiful powder in areas protected from the wind, but exposed areas above the tree line are heavily influenced by the wind.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: no wind
Altitude: 1800 m – 2600 m
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
Overall impression
Perfect day on the slopes to start the season. There were one or two little detours off-piste into the powder. But otherwise there was simply not enough snow for off-piste activities. In the north-facing areas, the first base would now be there for the next snowfall.
