Snow report Zillertal, 11/30/2017

Snow condition

During the night, around 30cm was added at higher altitudes, which would increase massively during the day due to continued snowfall. In the area around 3,000m, slight shifts due to wind, otherwise a consistently good snow cover and almost all the rocks and crevasses are covered. Now it's time to raise the curtain for some great off-piste fun!

Snow quality

Freshly fallen powder snow. There was enough on the piste to put a grin on everyone's face. Very good conditions off-piste. If you push hard on the turns, you may hit yesterday's hatsch lid at one point or another, but this doesn't detract from the fun in any way.

Due to the amount of snow that has fallen in such a short time, I would avoid gullies or extremely steep slopes for the time being, as the drift snow of the last few days and the snow that was added today poses a danger at higher altitudes.

Overall impression

The visibility was very poor, which is also the reason for the lack of photos.

If you don't know your way around, you should limit yourself to the area on and next to the piste. Especially in the Lärmstange area, the rocks are only lightly covered in places!

Nothing going on, plenty of fresh snow, that's worth a solid 3 stars!
