Snow condition

Start at the Krepperhütte where there is enough snow to start on the toboggan run. From 1600m the snow level increases to approx. 20-30cm on the Amwiesen and there is enough snow on the summit plateau (40cm). But all in all no stone contact. And you can't complain about starting at 1400m in December. However, the descent through the dense forest is not yet possible.

Snow quality

5 von 5 Sterne

Cold powder snow of the best quality that fell without the influence of wind, unfortunately not enough. Mostly 10-15cm of fresh snow

Risks

We chose this tour because it is quite safe and leads across alpine meadows. The old snow cover below 1900m was still wet and frozen hard above. Snow plumes could be seen in the direction of the main ridge and the wind was strong in the summit area.

Overall impression

Beautiful tour rather to be stamped under pleasure. However, the descent across the alpine meadows was very nice. Unfortunately, you get through the hard layer of old snow.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
