Snow conditions between two and three stars, basically enough snow on the meadows from Hochfügen onwards. If it sits down again and snows once or twice, it will be fine.
Snow quality
There is already a report on the Zillertal by Hippski. I'm adding our experiences here to make it clear how much the situation can vary from one small area to another. We were heading towards the Wetterkreuzspitze. Very different conditions both on the western slopes (ski area) and on the north-eastern slopes. Windswept slush and Zastrugis alternated with powdery patches. Much better from the tree line onwards. Therefore three stars overall.
Risks
Very puffy, but no old boards sighted. The current snow surface is interesting for the next snowfalls. The very small-scale differences in our area are generally positive for new snowfalls.
Overall impression
Sunny and cold. It was nice!
