Snow condition

4 von 5 Sterne

It snowed heavily during the night and also during the day, about 25 centimeters. The snow conditions are very good this year. Contact with the ground is now virtually impossible.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

Last night's fresh snow fell in the forest largely without wind, but the snow was somewhat compact and not so fluffy. Above the tree line, the fresh snow was heavily packed. The approx. 25 centimetres was balm for the soul after the last few warm days.

Risks

According to the LLB, avalanche warning level 3 prevailed throughout Tyrol today, and I agree. Due to the strong wind, you have to watch out for drift snow accumulations. The fresh snow has not yet bonded with the lower snow layer. In steep terrain, the top layer of snow slid down with it.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

The fresh snow and the extremely good snow conditions in the Zillertal are simply great fun. There was also relatively little competition today, so we were able to ski our lines until the afternoon.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
