All kinds of snow in Hochfügen

Snow condition
There is shockingly little snow even at 2500m. Ridges and crests are virtually snow-free, even small rocks are hardly snowed in, streams are still open. Nothing below 1500m. Thanks to the wind activity, enough snow has accumulated at least in gullies and hollows to get down with the handbrake on without coming into contact with the enemy - provided you choose your route wisely.
Snow quality
Everything was there today. There was either wind or sun in all the expos. Only on the north side did we find set powder, which was very fun to ski in places.
Risks
Despite 3s and warnings about slopes that were too steep, the danger on our tour was more from rocks than avalanches. There were simply hardly any large enough contiguous areas of snow for avalanches, and on the south side there were some quite large mouths of sliding snow.
Overall impression
All sorts of snowy fun in good touring weather and a few nice turns. You wouldn't really have missed anything today, but it was good to finally get out after the Christmas feast. But we urgently need more.
