Snow condition
With appropriate route selection, absolutely sufficient snow conditions, stone contact avoidable. Valley descent not possible. Tours in the upper area possible. Off-piste, rutted and stones visible.
Snow quality
Fantastic set powder on north-facing slopes not influenced by the sun. In the lower part of the skiable area (towards the middle station) the snow is sometimes heavier, but still nice to ski. However, good conditions can be found if you know the area well.
Risks
Avalanche warning level 3 above 2400 m. Below that level 2, the snow is well settled. However, some older drift snow already visible on wind-affected slopes.
Overall impression
Dream day with a relaxed tour away from the ski area. With the right local knowledge, you can find settled but still very soft powder on untracked slopes. Extra star also for the sunny, mild, but not (to the detriment of the snow) too warm weather!
