the snow from sunday and last night (a total of about 40cm) has fallen on a very small or below 2000m partly non-existent base. if there is something on top now, it could still be something, so still quite lean. many blown off backs.
Snow quality
soft set snow, not quite as powdery as you would like, but you can live with it. above the tree line mostly influenced by wind.
Risks
cracks in 30+ degree terrain, numerous wind loads. defensive route choice highly recommended.
Overall impression
this will probably be a short season this year, if it doesn't snow by the meter, you can already write off spring in february... at least today a few turns in soft, quite nice snow, albeit with little to no base..
