Snow condition
Only a thin layer of fresh snow in the valley and on south-facing slopes. Dump starting today, 10cm of fresh snow on a hard base by 13:00. Snow conditions already good overall and will now improve considerably in the südstau.
Snow quality
Up to 13.00 10cm of wet fresh snow, but it's still snowing nicely in the Villgratental. Temperature a little too warm for top snow quality, but fine.
Risks
A large number of old sliding snow avalanches, fresh loose snow slide spontaneously visible from more than 40 degree gullies. We were too low for wind problems today.
Overall impression
Short exploratory tour, more ski hike than ski tour. Great winter atmosphere, turned around when visibility deteriorated.
