Snow condition
Super snow conditions in the ski area due to the high starting position. Easy to ski down to the valley station at 2000m. Almost no ground contact possible even in the densest forest. In the past two days we had another 20-30cm of powder snow on top.
Snow quality
Hardly any cold powder snow. Both in the alpine areas and in the forest. Unfortunately too little for 5 stars in terms of quantity and sometimes too hard a surface.
Risks
Mostly relaxed. When skiing steep passages, small to medium-sized powder snow slides have occasionally occurred. Accumulations of drift snow are also occasionally present, but these are mostly very small-scale.
Overall impression
Due to the poor visibility, we had to head into the forest yesterday. Today it cleared up and we were able to ski the nearby slopes around the ski resort. Both yesterday and today we had a lot of fun in the Arolla ski resort. Unfortunately, we weren't able to go on a tour, as the conditions here would be ideal at the moment.
