In addition to the exceptional snow conditions, around 25 cm of fresh snow fell from yesterday to today.
Snow quality
Yesterday still very mixed conditions, from face-shot powder to the finest hard snow. At the bottom, the spring temperatures made it slushy and easy to ski. Today with the fresh snow a class better, but also damp and difficult below 1800m.
Risks
In my opinion a tricky situation, over 2000m altitude in all exposures, many slides seen, sometimes entire slopes emptied. Flexible tour selection necessary, as many slopes were and are hot.
Overall impression
We spent the night from yesterday to today at the Cabane des Bec des Bosson, highly recommended and easily accessible. Great runs were possible despite the bad weather.
