Snow condition
Near the valley, the forest trail was interrupted due to snow, but from 1200m the snow conditions were usable. Sharks in the blown end slope. In between: ok.
Snow quality
Wet pow at the bottom, cold pow at the top. Not enough. But basically good quality.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: medium
Risks
Wind intensity: High (40 – 60 km/h)
Slopes through massive west zT blown in.
Overall impression
We ascended towards the end of today's cold front passage, drizzle at the bottom, then snow, then only strong winds. Great views, no other tourers, the descent was better than expected. At the top some pow turns in the blown-in snow, then lower down fast dust on crust. A day with a ski tour is ALWAYS better than one without - experienced again today.
