With strong winds, there were a few more centimetres of fresh snow on the mountain in the valley yesterday. But not quite as much as the weather station indicated. The wind must have driven the fallen snow to the measuring station.

The fresh snow was still fluffy and loose. It was even really good to ski in untracked sections of forest. Of course, the old tracks from the previous day could still be felt in the busy areas.

Risks

reasonable avalanche danger in the forest today and no special incidents. High peaks and ridges are blown down. I could see that from a distance.

It was good to make use of the snow once again before it's likely to turn to snow in the next few days. A few nice turns were possible. Now we just have to hope that there won't be as much rain or as much wind as announced. Otherwise, we'll probably only be skiing on snow-covered slopes again in the future.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
