... not bad at all !!! ...ski touring weekend, in the Berwang region (Lechtal) ...
Snow condition

Overall impression
Snow condition
Free choice of route and descent to the valley (almost) everywhere possible. No rock contact, the whole weekend. The only exceptions are exposed ridges and ridges, some of which are quite blown off. These places are easily recognizable and can be easily bypassed.
Snow quality
Apparently it was already a cold night on Sat. The snow cover had frozen through and is largely stable, but there are still areas (mostly blown in) where you can still find something like powder, but rather loose snow, in sections. 5cm of fresh snow fell in the night on Sunday, which was then quite easy to ski on a stable base, and late Sunday afternoon it started to snow again (heavily).
Risks
Very relaxed. The hardened and frozen snow surface has a very stabilizing effect. There's no problem with old snow in the area below 2000m anyway. The small amount of fresh snow that fell overnight on Sun. was not significantly affected by the wind and had no further impact on the avalanche situation. That may change by next Wed.
Overall impression
I give it 3.5 stars. The weather and visibility were surprisingly good. The snow conditions, especially on the last Sunday, were also good. There was even sunshine for about 1 hour, which we used for a very nice descent in the non-mainstream area, a totally crowded ski tour, which was really fun ...
