Snow condition
In the valley, you have to switch to the snow-covered ski slopes. This is also noticeable in the crowds. Corona is technically not a problem with the distances, but you can clearly see that the possibilities are reduced.
Snow quality
In terms of snow, it could also be the end of April. The bottom is frozen hard in the morning. If you are early, you need good edges for the descent and good knees for the humps. Above approx. 1400m, nice crushed snow from the last rain up to 2000m. I can't say whether it's better above that because I haven't been any further up yet.
Risks
In the morning, the snow cover looked quite stable because it had frozen well overnight. However, as the sunlight increased, the snow was heavy and wet.
Overall impression
Yes, there are still places where you can use your skis and not your hiking boots, but the opportunities are becoming fewer. I envy anyone who can easily do 2,000 m and thus perhaps reach altitudes where the snow conditions may still be wintry. All that remains is the hope that it will cool down again and that there will be fresh snow. However, the birds are already chirping as if spring has arrived.
