a little fresh snow at higher altitudes
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
In the valley, the ascent is only possible on snow-covered slopes. Next to it, it's just brown.
Snow quality
The first 200m still on an icy slope, then a little fresh snow. Not super easy, but quite nice above about 1000m when it's slippery underneath. In the terrain you have to go even higher. At 1600m about 10cm of fresh snow.
Risks
I climbed up a slope and had the impression that everything that could still go down had actually already melted away. That's not true, of course, but I didn't see any fish mouths or other signs of avalanche activity today.
Overall impression
After an unmotivated start on an icy slope, I was met by two nice ladies who said that there was powder at the top. That cheered me up a bit and I soon reached the snow line. Above 1300m there was about 10cm of fresh snow on mostly old snow. At least if you didn't hit the edges quite so hard, you could make a few nice turns. Nevertheless, the desire for more fresh snow and cold remains. At least the latter should come true.
