As is the case (almost) everywhere, it's shockingly bad. I've never seen the area with so little snow in the depths of winter (it's mid-February, hello?). Even last winter there was a lot more here... But you can still go skiing or ski touring and it's not even that bad. But you can expect to come into contact with rocks more or less at any time, and you can only really ski in good terrain (high, shady, rather blown in). Even in the forest you can still get down on snow somehow, but you can hardly call it riding...

A lot of crust now, partly from the wind but often from the sun. In sheltered areas, however, there is still some good powder, if you can find it (not too difficult) you have really good snow.

Risks

Not overly critical, but not without problems either. Almost the entire snow cover consists of deep rime, just a bit of bound snow (e.g. due to wind) on top and you have the salad...

Great weather, good snow, unfortunately it's really only just enough, not everything works for a long time.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
