There is plenty of snow right down to the valley at 1,000m. There is a great base, especially in the denser forest!
Snow quality
Leaves a lot to be desired. Due to the temperatures, everything is sitting together. It's no fun at all to ride, and in the evening there's snowfall, which will hopefully provide more fun than you can currently find around the Zugspitze in the 1,000 - 2,000m range.
Risks
With a view to the next tour, I checked the slopes: large slopes in almost all exposures, even below 35 degrees.
Overall impression
There was nothing useful to be found in the terrain today.
The +5 degrees combined with the sun were just too much of a good thing.
Heavily compressed snow cover. Combined with the numerous slopes, it was not advisable to venture into the terrain today!
