Ski tour on the eastern edge of the Ausserfern

Snow condition
There is not much. Standard tours can all be done. There is still far too little for everything else. Exposed crests and ridges are often still clear, and there are no areas with really much snow. The wind is therefore not the culprit, there is simply not much snow.
Snow quality
Great on the north side and without wind, but we were also quite sheltered from the wind. The power of the sun has increased considerably in the meantime, so you can only find nice powder in the shade.
Risks
Drift snow was the problem on the LLB. Apparently it wasn't a problem for us. But wind vanes were visible. But there are certainly areas here on the north side where there was old snow. You shouldn't completely forget this here either if you rarely ski on it. Everything was great until around 2000. Then broke in 2 times with skis. Quickly made ECT when converting -->ECTP0. Smooth break about 15cm deep under rain crust. I could imagine first snow with wind then rain (crust) and then more snow without wind on Friday. Connection of the crust was quite bad there. Everything was fine underneath, several stick tests and hand profiles. Well, you are always surprised.
Overall impression
Really beautiful snow and I can understand why some people give it 4 stars. Unfortunately, it hasn't been that good here for a long time. But one of the good days so far.
