From PP about 300m carry, soon all gone near the valley despite the north. Forest path from 1200 then good snow, good snow conditions in the cirque itself. Apart from a few stones from falling rocks, all snow free of obstacles.
Snow quality
Only some soft snow from 1,800, otherwise icy glazed old snow. Not yet groomed on the descent at 10.30, some wind and ski tracks chatter.
Risks
No sliding snow cracks, some smaller wet snow slides from rock faces due to the foehn heights and heat. LWS was 2, fits.
Overall impression
Beautiful tour, but lots of people along the way. My start at 7.45 was too late due to the crowds, but my departure was too early for firn. It was still a worthwhile tour for me.
