Snow condition
Since Thursday, 10-20 cm of fresh snow has fallen (at higher altitudes). In the valley it was about 5 cm. Nevertheless, the amount of snow is rather small at the moment. Mountain pine belts are not snowed in, and there is also very little in the forest. As the south-facing slopes are melting and there is no more closed snow cover in the valley, you can use the ski slopes to bridge the areas with little snow.
Snow quality
Most of the snow fell with a lot of wind influence. For this reason, there is hardly any fresh snow in some places and quite a lot in others. On north-facing slopes at higher altitudes where the wind is calm, the snow is very powdery and incredibly easy to ski. This lies on a hard, firm layer of harsh snow. However, if the layer of fresh snow powder is thinner, it also gets bumpy very quickly (ice, stones).
Risks
Here you have to watch out for drift snow, loose snow slides from steeper terrain and warming. Directly on our tour, however, the situation was fine.
Overall impression
Thanks to the fine powder snow and the good weather, today was my best day of skiing this winter.

Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
