Skitour Lechtaler: sehr wechselhaft, stellenweise gut

Overall impression
Snow condition
Start at approx. 1200m. Downhill possible until then. Down in the forest you should look where you are going. In places the snow cover is already too thin at the bottom. Above approx. 1700m on exposed slopes, very thin snow cover in places. There was a lot of wind in there, blowing ridges and crests free in places.
Snow quality
Very changeable: soaked old snow cover, which comes through hard in places, especially above 1700m. Slab powder or none at all on exposed slopes. On sheltered slopes, however, creamy powder, very fine to ski. Then more sticky on damp old snow at the bottom. Didn't have any rotten snow today.
Risks
Level 3, can't estimate it here either. You can see a lot of old, big wet snow slides, especially above about 1600m there are clear signs of wind. Winds with a strong load at the top today too.
Overall impression
Today I'm giving it three stars. Overall, it was very changeable, but there were also some great slopes with nice turns. The weather was also very pleasant, except for the wind at the top. I'd love more of this!
