Snow condition
The last few days have brought around 20 cm of fresh snow in the valley and around 30-40 cm higher up. On the south side and at lower altitudes, however, this snow fell without a base, which is why contact with the ground is to be expected and off-piste skiing is hardly possible. On the north side, skiing was good to decent up to around 1500 m (also in the forest), below that it was only bumpy and there were concerns about the equipment. Even at higher altitudes there is generally very little snow, especially in areas close to the crest, be careful of stones.
Snow quality
As the temperatures were already above freezing in the morning, the snow was largely already wet. On the north side above approx. 1600 meters you could still find good powder in areas protected from the sun, below that it was wetter but skiable.
Risks
The Tyrolean LWD reported level two, which is confirmed by today's impressions. The layer of ice mentioned in the LLB, which was to be found under the newly fallen snow in areas protected from the sun, was striking. This served as a sliding layer for spontaneous loose snow slides in steep and very steep areas.
Overall impression
Nice day with some good to very good runs, good weather and virtually nothing going on. However, even the fresh snow of the last few days can't hide the fact that it's spring (and it's never really been winter at these latitudes).
