Snow condition

On Zugspitze, 30-40 cm of fresh powder snow has accumulated over the last few days. Zugspitze measuring station 320m. Sufficient snow around the Zugspitze for the end of March too

Time management - early and still powder at altitude in all slope exposures. From 11:00 the snow became heavy. The sun now has real power. Powder on north-facing slopes remains preserved.

Risks

Very relaxed - a few steep wall descents on the Zugspitze were skied today. But proper time management. In the late morning it started to thunder heavily - loose snow avalanches due to the sunlight, like waterfalls, through some gullies.

Overall impression

5 von 5 Sterne

There were no better conditions for the New World. There is a lot of snow this year. Safe conditions and for the descent incredible snow conditions 20-40 cm of powder snow on a firm base and the first line on a Saturday. Great crew, fast and effective. Top weather. Clearly 5 stars by midday

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
