Really good. Even at the valley station of the Ehrwalder Almbahn at 1100 m, there is still enough snow to ski off-piste. Everything around the Coburger Hütte is also well snowed in.

Snow quality

Very good, but not perfect. We encountered nothing but powder snow over the two days. I estimate it was mostly around 15-20 cm on a slightly harder layer. However, it was slightly damp and therefore not quite perfect for skiing.

Risks

The ascent to the hut was problem-free, up to there no wind influence at all. Today the wind was clearly noticeable on the ascent to Tajatörl. In the 35 degree steep terrain, a triangle broke away in places on hairpin bends, but it stayed put immediately. 3 snow planks were visible on the west side of the lower Tajakopf, which had released themselves.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

Beautiful descents and impressive terrain. However, less visibility than expected and predicted. If I hadn't done the same tour before, we would definitely have had to abandon it. There's no more firewood at the Coburger Hütte.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
