Since yesterday alone, 10-40 cm have fallen (depending on altitude and exposure). In the valley it was about 10 cm. Together with last week's snow, the amount of snow is quite good at the moment. That's why people can ski down into the valley.

Snow quality

4 von 5 Sterne

Most of the snow fell without much wind influence. As a result, the snow at higher altitudes is very powdery and hardly bound. It lies on a hard, solid layer. Only the temperature rose above 0 degrees in the afternoon from around 1600m and therefore had a negative effect on the snow.

Risks

Here, attention must be paid to drift snow, loose snow slides from steeper terrain and warming. Overall, however, the situation is fine.

Apart from the icy temperatures and the limited visibility due to the clouds, today was one of my best days of skiing this winter thanks to the powder snow.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
