Very changeable snow conditions today in the New World.
Risks
Only very little blown-in/new snow on a hard base. The ascent was more critical, because there was more deposited snow and the fresh snow also tended to slide off the hard crust.
Overall impression
Not so easy today in the New World. Sometimes a few turns in soft powder, then again very hard conditions...
An old avalanche cone on the way out of the gully... a bit tedious and the rest down to Ehrwald too, of course...
