Snow condition
Snow quality
Start from the Ehrwalder Alm with good snow cover with good grip. Unfortunately, the ascent to the summit via the western slopes was not always good. Partly knee-deep or even hip-deep sinking, so that the ascent became quite arduous towards the end. In the northern descent, still old powder with a few avalanche pellets on a hard base. The conditions on the wall descent were a bit hard in places. Firn at the bottom and then deep swamp.
Risks
We chose the approach via the west flank to have more time. The first avalanches were already coming down from the sunlit rocks on the Tajakopf at 8:30 am.
Overall impression
rewarding tour and used the last day to save energy with lift support. :-)
