Snow condition
From yesterday to today it's slightly over-snowed, but the tracks from the weekend are still visible and I can't explain where the 20cm of fresh snow from yesterday are. Some rock ribs are treacherously covered by the few centimetres of fresh snow, but if you know roughly where the rocks are and where it was previously icy, you can avoid major damage to the surface.
Snow quality
The few centimeters of fresh snow lie on crust or soft old snow, mostly changing even on the same slope but quite good to ski.
Risks
The Bavarian LLB has called a 1 above 2000m (the Tyrolean one above 2500m) and I could not observe any avalanche activity. There was an old avalanche from the steep summit structure. But I can't say whether it was blown up or spontaneously released.
Overall impression
It was worth driving up today. High clouds dampened the sun, but visibility was ok until midday. Then the light became very flat.
It wasn't a super powder day today, but it was good to be out and about in the terrain. Also, few people, little stress... And the gondola even ran every 15 minutes in the morning (despite the lack of crowds), so it actually only took me an hour to get from home to my skis.
There should be a few more centimetres of fresh snow in the next few days. Towards the WE it can be worthwhile again at the top.
