Snow condition

In general, you can say that there is not enough snow at the bottom of the Karwendel, but still enough at the top on the north side - about 1m of old snow and 5cm of fresh snow. In the forest, however, you will have to reckon with ground contact almost everywhere

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

Harsh in the early morning with a soft layer of fresh snow, but firns up very quickly, but can be skied very well, not too settled yet.

Risks

Very different, but should not be underestimated, especially on the south side. In addition, the snow-rock formations of the cirque walls are loosening. Flat tours in less alpine terrain are recommended.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne

There is still enough snow to be found, which can also be skied once. It almost always takes a lot of effort to carry the skis there and the sun makes it easier to slip off

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
