Snow condition
In the last few days, we've had another 30 or so inches of fresh snow. But there was also a bit of wind. I couldn't judge how much it had blown off in the terrain today (on ridges and ridges) as there was no visibility.
Snow quality
Unfortunately, the fresh snow is not fluffy powder, but rather heavy. At first I thought the wind was to blame, but it was probably the temperatures. At 0 degrees and lots of humidity, it was thawing and dripping everywhere (see drops on the hood of the chairlift).
Risks
was a 2. Due to a lack of visibility, I shimmied along the edge of the slope. So I can't say anything specific about the avalanche situation.
Overall impression
One of the worst days of skiing this winter due to poor visibility (whiteout to 50m visibility at best). The fresh snow was already heavy. If the sun shines tomorrow, it could be another rewarding day and if you prepare yourself for the fact that you won't find great powder, but rather heavy fresh snow, then there will be no disappointment and a good end to the season.
