"Top of Germany" with natural snow.

Snow condition
Even on the highest mountain in Germany, there is not an excessive amount of snow. You can make a few turns off-piste, but you should arrive without any off-piste ambitions. You still need quite a bit of snow for that, unless you want to ski more on rocks... The ridges and crests are pretty blown off. There are occasional stones on the slopes (but these are limited).
Snow quality
As there are no artificial snow facilities, you can finally enjoy pure natural snow! It is nice and grippy to ski on.
Risks
The amount of snow is still manageable and so the main danger at the moment is from stones and rocks.
Overall impression
Nice sunny day on natural snow with relatively empty pistes until midday, which makes skiing a bit of fun. Nonetheless, fresh snow is urgently needed.
