Snow condition
Compared to last winter, there is currently more snow here than in March. The last fresh snowfall was very wet, so a lot of it remained on very steep terrain. The rocks were also really white, which is usually the case with wet snowfall in late spring. A lot of things were already doable. If something else comes along now, there's a very good basis and something to have fun on top of that. Transitions are sometimes blown off, but that's normal. 3-4 stars
Snow quality
Very compact for the most part, but still reasonably easy to ride. Due to the heat and wind, you couldn't expect more. Still preserved in very sheltered areas and still really good here. It rained up to 1400m. Would have expected it higher up. Since most of the descents were more like 3 stars, it stays that way overall. Even if there was an outlier at the top.
Risks
Yesterday he had no more than unfavorable drift snow inside. Today again. In general, the connection between the last snowfall and the wild snow that fell before was not particularly good. But no large cracks or stresses. Have done tests, no complete cracks. ECTN10, just on the wild snow. Small clods broke away from time to time on hairpin bends. In our opinion, the 2 of today was already announced yesterday. The bigger problem was the quite large loose snow avalanches from extremely steep south-facing terrain (see photo). The compact snow surface could also become a problem if it gets snowed in in a few days. We'll have to see how this develops with the mild temperatures over the next few days.
Overall impression
Full yield and the right nose. The last snowfall did the area a lot of good. A lot has been left behind. So far, although the snow hasn't been the best quality of the past few days, it's been one of the best days, of which there have already been a few this season.
