Learning objectives
Focus on basic techniques and safety on the mountain. Participants learn to move safely and in a controlled manner in unprepared terrain.
Equipment
Ski pass, skis, poles, bindings
Ski boots
Suitable clothing in which you can spend a day on the mountain (expect sub-zero temperatures): Jacket, trousers, midlayer & functional underwear
Helmet
Gloves, backpack* with:
Avalanche probe
LVS
Avalanche shovel (metal)*Avalanche airbag backpacks are recommended but not essential
Skill level
This clinic is for first- or second-time participants venturing into off-piste terrain. Participants should be comfortable skiing or riding on black slopes, with an emphasis on developing confidence and control. Expect to navigate steep off-piste slopes in varying snow conditions.
