The second tour stop of the FreerideTestival 2026 - Europe's biggest test event for freeriders - will take place in Silvretta Montafon from 7 to 8 February 2026. Powder lovers, technology fans and adventurers will meet here to try out the latest equipment in open terrain, share experiences and ride the most beautiful lines together.

Description

Whether gentle slopes, steep gullies, or small to large drops - the terrain of Silvretta Montafon offers pure variety and guaranteed snow until well into spring. With 140 kilometres of pistes, the area is one of the largest in Austria and offers countless freeride descents between perfectly groomed pistes. If you're looking for like-minded people, you'll find them at the freeride station at the Grasjochbahn - this is where powder fans meet up to chat, relax, and plan their next line.

What you can expect

The unique combination of equipment testing, workshops, courses, and a vibrant community atmosphere makes the FreerideTestival a one-of-a-kind event series. Immerse yourself in the freeride scene, test the latest gear for the upcoming season, and take home valuable insights and unforgettable memories.

Throughout all event weekends, equipment from leading brands — including skis, snowboards, helmets, goggles, backpacks, and avalanche safety gear — will be available for you to test, completely free of charge and without obligation. The highlight: most of the products come from the next season’s lineup and are therefore brand new.

In addition to the gear reviews, the Schruns ski school also offers exciting courses. Complete your Testival weekend with a freeride adventure day (advanced) or freeride skiing technique course (beginners), where you can improve your freeride skills. Experienced freeriders explore new terrain together with local guides, while beginners take their first turns off-piste under professional guidance. You can find more details about the specific course content and requirements here.
