Penguin Powder People Freeride Day (Arosa)

Description

• The aim: fun in the powder, more safety in the backcountry, and the good feeling of being out and about as a team 

• experienced guides from Avalanche courses Arosa accompany you with expertise and ease so that you can move freely and build up more self-confidence step by step.

• You learn the most important basics of avalanche awareness, understand the avalanche bulletin, and practise the safe use of your equipment in the terrain.

• There are also tips on skiing technique to make your lines even more fun. Relaxed, without pressure, in a motivating group.

After the run, the day is celebrated with a well-earned drink in the bar e Pizzeria Gutschi in Arosa. Connection and powder vibes included;

Course content

• Read and assess the avalanche bulletin 

• Apply avalanches 3x3

• Riding technique in powder

Prerequisites

• Skiing in deep snow up to a slope inclination of approximately 30°

Bring along

• Your own equipment

• Snowboard* or powder skis* (no piste slats)

• Avalanche transceiver, probe, and shovel*

• Helmet compulsory
  *Rental equipment available on request from Bananas Gislersport

The course takes place with 5 participants. Places are limited to 16.
