Description

Hochalmspitz, Spieleckkogel or a descent into the Hörndlinger Graben with ascent to the Fieberbrunn ski resort are just some of the countless options available for LEVEL 2 in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. The terrain in Saalbach-Hinterglemm is extremely extensive and offers numerous planning options. The nearby peaks invite you to make your first ascents on touring skis and splitboards and the Buchegg Resort in the centre of the resort is the perfect location for this next level.

Contents

  • It goes higher up and we move further and further away from the lifts. Splitboards, touring skis or other ascent aids are a "must have" from level 2 onwards.

  • In terms of content, the next level ties in with the respective freeride strategy of the training session. The topics of map skills, orientation and avalanche awareness are added and the planning and realisation of the first tours begins.

  • The risk'n'fun team provides insights into the preparation and subsequent realisation of a tour day and then gradually transfers responsibility to the freeriders. Further soft skills exercises provide a deeper insight into personal risk behaviour.

  • Level 2 is also about independent planning and action in order to be well prepared to start your own ventures according to the guiding principle "perceive-assess-decide".

  • This is all packed into the work forms: Practical exercises in the field, small group work, plenary sessions, reflection and feedback
