Level 2: Your own tours

Level 2 takes you into the terrain: the focus is on tour planning and personal responsibility. Building on your knowledge from Level 1, you will deepen your expertise step by step. Your splitboard or ski touring equipment is in daily use, while new topics such as orientation, avalanche awareness and map skills are covered. Together with state-certified guides, you will learn how professional tour planning works and put what you have learnt directly into practice. In addition, your personal risk behaviour will be clarified and analysed using soft skills exercises. The focus is on learning together and from each other in order to develop new touring skills in a safe environment and strengthen your personal decision-making skills in the terrain.

Hard facts

• Age: for skiers and snowboarders aged 16 and over

• Prerequisites: Safe skiing in open terrain

• Terrain: near the lift, with short hikes

• Equipment: Complete ski or snowboard equipment, emergency equipment, ascent aids are not required

• If you require rental equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, airbag), you have the option of clicking on the desired equipment in the online booking under "optional services". Rental is free of charge.

The tours can therefore start right on the doorstep. And by the way, it simply has a very special charm to live at over 2,000 metres, to be able to start the day without searching for a parking space and queuing at the gondola and to end it with the last rays of sunshine on the mountain."
