risk 'n' fun Freeride Session Tux Alps (Level 3)

Backcountry Pro: Your tours in open terrain

Date

Location

Weidener Hütte (Parkplatz Innerberg)
Innerberg 110
6133 Weerberg (AT)
With the Backcountry Pro, you immerse yourself completely in the real touring experience, far away from pistes, lifts and classic resort operations. The week is aimed at anyone who wants to deepen their expertise in open terrain and plan and organise tours independently.

Level 3: Your tours in open terrain

Together with other freeriders, you plan new routes every day, realise them independently and are accompanied by the experienced risk'n'fun team. The focus is on in-depth knowledge of avalanche awareness, track setting and meteorology, which is applied directly on the mountain and deepened in the theory sessions in the evening.

Another focus is on leading and guiding: You will learn to take responsibility in the group, make decisions and organise tours safely - both practically in the terrain and in a reflective exchange afterwards.

Backcountry Pro means: out of the ski area and into the backcountry!

Hard facts

  • Age: for skiers and snowboarders aged 16 and over

  • Prerequisites: Participation in Session and Next Level

  • Terrain: touring areas, ascent without lifts

  • equipment: touring skis or splitboards, emergency equipment

Backcountry Pro Tux Alps

"If, after the risk'n'fun LEVEL 2, you feel that you need more in-depth information on tour planning, for example, or want to eliminate uncertainties about hairpin turns, then LEVEL 3 is the right course for you. This Backcountry Pro is aimed at all snowboarders and skiers who are ready for the next step and want to invest some more time in deepening their knowledge. The terrain around the Weidener Hütte offers ideal conditions for this. Experienced mountain guide Eva Schider will be there."
