perceive - assess - decide
It's off to the Kaunertal Glacier again in January for a training session! Countless variants in the high alpine terrain are available for the development of your personal freeride strategy. The Kirchenwirt**** in Feichten is the daily starting point for the journey over the serpentines of the glacier road into the high alpine Kaunertal mountains. If the weather is bad, the lifts in Fendels are also an option for an excursion. Over four days, you will develop your own freeride strategy together with state-certified guides and experienced trainers - centred around the pillars perceive - assess - decide.
Contents
In level 1, the training session, a freeride strategy is developed together with the risk'n'fun team around the content pillars "perceive - assess - decide".
The guides (state-certified mountain, ski and snowboard guides) are responsible for the hard skills part. This includes the correct use of emergency equipment, the interpretation and application of the avalanche report and everything that needs to be taken into account on the descent.
The risk'n'fun trainers are responsible for teaching the soft skills. How do you personally deal with "risk"? What changes when you are travelling with a group? What influences decisions and how?
The aim is for you to be able to make your own decisions after the session, argue for yourself and find lines and descent variants that suit the respective conditions.
This is all packed into the working methods: Practical exercises in the field, small group work, plenary sessions, reflection and feedback
