The new educational touring trail on the Lampsenspitze (Praxmar, Sellrain, near Innsbruck) aims to teach winter sports enthusiasts the theory and practice of ski touring and how to deal with avalanche danger. The project is based on an online platform www.tourenlehrpfad.at and the educational trail along the tour to the Lampsenspitze near Praxmar in Sellrain.
Interactively, ski tourers plan the route of their ski tour to the Lampsenspitze. Information on the current danger situation, the appropriate equipment and the route is requested and planned. The interactive online self-study course teaches, among other things, how to behave on tours and how to assess dangerous situations, and tourers can then apply what they have learned on the tour. A total of six large boards have been installed along the ski tour to the Lampsenspitze. In the sections "Knowledge", "Practice", "Decide" and "On the way", different learning content is explained depending on the location.
Planning and learning online, going on tour well equipped
The tool dynamically accesses the current avalanche situation report and checks the user's entries. Interested parties receive basic online information on how to behave on tour, basic rules of conduct, equipment and how to assess dangerous situations. Information on various methods of strategic avalanche awareness is also available. Various exercises can be used to test your own knowledge. This means you are well equipped for your ski tour. The Lampsenspitze educational touring trail starts at Alpengasthof Praxmar in Gries im Sellrain.
