From March 13-15, 2009, the BigLePowSki Freeride Happening took place in Davos for the second time. 200 participants experienced a special kind of backcountry weekend. The weather on Saturday kept its promise for a dream day. Advanced freeriders had the opportunity to get to know Pischa off-piste in workshops and guided tours and learn from experienced mountain guides.
The equipment provided by Arc'teryx, Black Diamond, Fritschi and Fullmoons Ski Shop was put through its paces by the participants.
In the evening, Ueli Kestenholz personally presented his film "Play Gravity". The subsequent party in the Montana Bar was the crowning glory of a fantastic day of freeriding on Pischa, which was celebrated into the early hours of the morning.
Despite the fog and gusty winds, the guided tours and avalanche safety workshops on Sunday were a complete success. Nobody missed the opportunity to test the sponsors' equipment under tough conditions.
The participants, freeriders and sponsors of the 2nd BigLePowSki agreed that this event was a complete success!
And with this in mind, the organizers are already looking forward to the 3rd The BigLePowSki 2010 and cordially invite all interested parties to attend!
