Level One Productions is once again launching a complete freeski package this winter. The hottest tricks of the moment are shown both in urban skiing and in the backcountry. A series of fat city trails, big jumps, backcountry runs and drops - presented by the world's best freeskiers.
A documentary of freestyle entertainment at the highest level. There's something for everyone, be it downtown rail skiing, big gap jumps or powdery back country. Riders like Ahmet Dadali, Adam Delmore, Wiley Miller, Tanner Rainville, JF Houle, Tom Wallisch, Chris Logan, Parcor White and the two girls Kaya Turski and Corey Vanular show off their skills and take you on an eye trip to the biggest gap jump ever built in Sun Valley. You also find out how deep the snow in Helsinki is, what powder skiing in Champery looks like and, of course, there is also a part about Alaska.
The Level One production has managed to make "Eye Trip" an eye-catcher and listener with a fabulous electro, rock, trans, roots and hip hop soundtrack. There is certainly a risk of dizziness for the viewer in "Eye Trip", especially with such immense spins in the air.
Conclusion
There is no plot per se in "Eye Trip", but the trip for the eye is always there in the form of brilliant jumps as well as extreme falls by the world's best freeskiers. Anyone hoping to see longer powder runs in addition to jumps and rails will probably miss out. All in all, a film worth seeing with equally great bonus material where individual backgrounds on the riders are shown.
