Freestyle has always been the profession of the "poor boys" from overseas. The Grand Bizarre" also fits seamlessly into this basic direction. Freestyle from front to back.
Whoever watches a Poorboyz movie should know that these are pure freestyle films. The Grand Bizzare holds no surprises in this respect. And that's a shame. Certainly, the tricks shown are of the highest standard, the background music is appropriately reggae and hip-hop-heavy, and that's a good thing. However, anyone who has seen several such scene flicks and is not directly rooted in this scene will quickly become bored with what they see. The viewer unfamiliar with the scene will not find any particular cinematic highlights that could attract the attention of the viewer unfamiliar with the scene. The embarrassing and pointless interludes in which trees are set alight and fat trucks are driven in circles do little to change the unimaginative overall impression. Only Simon Dumont's driver segment with its cut-out superpipe brings some excitement and tension to the work.
Conclusion
An average freestyle scene. No special occurrences one might say. And therefore - and not because it is a freestyle movie - The Grand Bizzare is not a tip for freeriders. Anyone who counts themselves as a freestyler would probably give it a nice grade of 2-3. Nice to have seen, but you won't miss anything if you haven't seen it either.
