Last Wednesday evening, November 16, 2011 at 7:30 pm, the doors of the 8 Seasons Club opened for the premiere of the film "Soultrip Argentina". Shortly before the club doors opened, a large number of winter sports enthusiasts were already standing at the entrance. The Argentinean steaks were already smelling from the grill and the anticipation of a good evening could be seen in the guests' facial expressions. Not only the "Soultrip"movie was on the agenda, but also the premiere of "Path of Roses" with Eva Walkner and Katharina Schuler.
After a short interview with Eva, the movie started. "Path of Roses" was shot in Gulmarg, which is only about 10 km away from the "Line of Control" in Kashmir. The two girls not only explored the beautiful mountain landscape there, where you can also catch a glimpse of the Nanga Parbat, but also dealt with the problems of the people living there. In the movie you could not only see some good powder runs, but also heavily armed soldiers guarding the borders and people who have to live in great poverty. The movie tried to bring all these components together.
After a short break, the main movie started with Max Zipser, Martin "McFly" Winkler and Björn Heregger. The three boys realized one of their big dreams with this road trip through the Argentinian Andes. McFly had already traveled to South America 10 years ago and was fascinated by the landscape and the impressions of this region. Together with the bus of a friend from Valais, the boys set off in search of nice lines. The highlight of this trip was the ascent of the 3747m high Lanin volcano. The beauty of this trip is not the maximum and most extreme line, but clearly the package "Fascination Mountain". In this film, the focus was not on the usual stress of finding the best powder runs, but on experiencing unique adventures with good friends in a breathtaking mountain range. All of the descents were made under our own steam on the ascent. All in all, a very beautiful and successful documentary.
After the two performances, the party moved on to the other side of the club, where McFly gave a taste of his guitar skills. After a competition, the live band "Jungbrunnen" provided an exuberant atmosphere. And so a really successful evening came to an end.
