Two outdoor-loving moms couldn't find any decent clothes for their little ones - so they simply tailored them themselves and founded a company in 2005, which was later renamed ISBJÖRN of Sweden. ISBJÖRN means polar bear in German and the bear symbol says it all: a thick, durable but also natural coat for our offspring. The best weather protection, without any chemicals. Environmental awareness is understood in two ways: On the one hand, in the consistent use of the most environmentally friendly materials possible and, on the other, in a high standard of product longevity, so that they can be passed on from sibling to sibling. This has been the motto from the very beginning and ISBJÖRN of Sweden is now a complete success, especially in Scandinavia.
In contrast to ruthless economic growth, ISBJÖRN of Sweden has maintained high standards in environmental protection right from the start. Their idea of sustainability is summarized in the 4R principle: Reduce, reuse, repair, recycle - in German it would probably be the 2xRW principle (reduce, reuse, repair, recycle) or translated differently: Protect the environment by buying fewer products, using them for longer, throwing them away less and conserving non-renewable raw materials. A company that is not primarily profit-oriented - at least not in the monetary sense - and can still operate sensibly? Doesn't exist? It does exist! The Swedes have been demonstrating this for 14 years and with great success!
