Gear of the Week | Odlo Evolution 3/4 Pants Warm

Comfortable to wear with a perfect fit

Ski underwear is something individual, even intimate, and preferences vary greatly here, but the soft fluffiness of the Evolution Warm 3/4 pants from Odlo simply won me over.

Ski underwear is something individual, even intimate, and preferences vary greatly here. While I personally prefer the natural product merino, from my scarf to my socks, my pink velvety ar..... er buttocks have other preferences. When it comes to ski underpants, the feel of sheep's hair simply doesn't appeal to me and I continue to rely on synthetics. And the soft fluffiness of the Evolution Warm 3/4 trousers from Odlo simply won me over.

And I shamelessly admit it: so does the color scheme. Why does ski underwear always have to be black or gray? Even if, admittedly, this is hardly in the eye of the beholder, because who gets to see the snazzy tights?

And in contrast to the upper body, odor wicking on the lower body plays a subordinate role, not least because you usually wear normal underpants underneath. So I can wear ski underpants for several days in a row without any olfactory nuisance.

However, I am particularly impressed by the cut and comfort of the Evolution. The fluffy weave is simply comfortable against the skin, the warmth is good even on cold days and rarely too much, the leg length fits perfectly with ski socks and effectively prevents pressure points in ski boots and, last but not least, the fit is also perfect for voluminous freerider thighs - no problems with slipping cuffs.

Clearly my favorite ski underpants for several years now and despite occasional trips to other brands and to's natural fiber camp, I still wear the Odlo Evolution 3/4 Pants Warm the most.
