When your strength wanes in the last few meters or you need to concentrate fully again for the descent after a strenuous ascent, this remedy can wake up tired spirits
Normally, I rarely drink the fizzy drink, but I admit that I carry this remedy with me to the summit from time to time, both in summer and winter. When my legs start to feel a little tired and my body too (maybe it's just my age) and I think it needs an extended break, I occasionally reach for this magic potion. Pulling it out of the stash bag brings a happy grin to some faces. It's anything but a summit schnapps, but it does confuse
Not the spirit and can still be "enjoyed" wonderfully together.
Of course, there are many different manufacturers, but I have no preference, as they all taste somehow "strange". I just make sure that I have a sip of normal water left afterwards, because otherwise this sticky stuff leaves my mouth feeling funny. Once this magic potion has been consumed, the last climb is easier to master, or you can enjoy the run with full vigor.
Oh well, it goes without saying, but it's still a good idea to take this metal can back with you from where it was consumed and dispose of it properly.
Of course, this is no cure for lack of sleep or a hangover, and it doesn't allow you to exceed your own limits, but it does give you a little boost. So it's not an egg-laying milk sow, but a nice gimmick for an already successful campaign.
