What a winter, what a glove! Cold winter, cold fingers? Nah, not with this thing. I hate mittens, almost more than cold fingers. That's why I bought this glove in the freezing cold winter of 2009/2010. In the warm, sunny winter of 2010/2011, the super-warm Legend from Black Diamond usually stayed in the cupboard. And this winter 2012 it's back again. Just as warm and still without any serious signs of wear. And yet it has a lot of days of use under its belt.
Why I like the glove so much...
The leather is soft and waterproof, the Gore-Tex membrane works and the warm insulation always keeps my fingers warm. Always.
What I also can't stand, by the way, is when gloves close over the jacket. Ugh. Hence this one. As far as I'm concerned, it can stay freezing cold for a long time, as long as your hands are warm.
PS: This experience report refers to the Legend Glove from the 2009/2010 season. I can only say a little about the current glove... The glove officially costs €99, but some of them are already available much cheaper on the web.
