TEST REPORT
For a short trip or a long weekend, the large volume of 125 liters is of course a little excessive. Half of the World Traveler therefore remains empty. However, it is practical that the outfits can be secured well with the two tension straps in the main compartment so that nothing creases.
However, when I started packing for the mountain bike trip, I was curious whether I would be able to fit everything important in the World Traveler. The trolley is divided into four individual compartments - two large and two smaller ones. Two of the top compartments are equipped with practical mesh pockets for small items such as cell phone, wallet etc.. There is another narrow compartment on the lower main compartment. There is a divider in the lower main compartment that can be moved and removed completely. For long-distance travel, the trolley has a business card compartment and eyelets for padlocks in the zippers of the main compartments. In addition to bike clothing including gloves, protectors, rain trousers and jacket, my evening wear, toiletry bag, a change of shoes and my bike helmet, I can also fit provisions for the trip in the trolley. Despite the side handle, I have problems carrying the heavy trolley to the front door. Stowed in the VW bus, it looks tiny again and hardly takes up any space. Off we go to Italy.
In our apartment in Italy, I simply set up the trolley as a wardrobe, saving myself the hassle of putting my clothes away. If you still have clean laundry left over at the end of the trip, you can use the compartments to separate dirty and clean laundry. The suitcase's skate wheels are put to the test on the journey home. They roll super smoothly over asphalt, but the skate wheels also run perfectly on gravel paths. Incidentally, the trolley can also be pulled comfortably by people taller than 160 cm.
The weekend trips: To describe the features of the trolley, I'll tell you a short travel anecdote. The story relates to its size and its accommodation on the train: people are milling around at the station, and the picture is no different on the IC train. I have no problem pushing my World Traveler through the narrow aisle in the train compartment and look for a free seat. The last seat in a group of four is free, then I look around for a place for the trolley. My three seat neighbors amusedly follow the huge suitcase and me with nice comments. The best place for the trolley seems to be between two groups of four seats and lo and behold, it fits perfectly into the gap. My seat neighbors can hardly believe it, are amazed and thrilled by the entertaining performance. We laugh as we get out of the car - the trolley has to be maneuvered back into the aisle - and bid each other a fond farewell.
Conclusion
On all three trips, the Evoc World Traveller scored points for its robust material, modern design, extra gimmicks and user-friendly compartment layout. The fact that the case seemed bulky at first glance was not confirmed; I was able to fit the case perfectly into all means of transportation. The suitcase is the perfect size for sports trips or people who like to take their household with them when traveling. I was also impressed by the compartment layout, which is an absolute added value from the start of the trip to the journey home. My conclusion: The Evoc World Traveller has high quality, clever gimmicks and clever features for various types of travel.
